An excerpt from The Age of Wonder: How the Romantic Generation Discovered the Beauty and Terror of Science
I've been reading mainly a kid's series of books (Dinotopia) since the new year. But I intend to get back into Gene Wolfe soon.
I too would like to read Tolkien.
I'll be teaching the Federalist Papers this spring and would love to hear everyone's comments on them.
I would prefer something very much not related-Tolkien sounds great.
Telescope as voyaging vessel... I really love the imagery there.
I lean much more towards something very much not related. On Fairy Stories sounds like my speed right now.
